SQ01

Hi All,

I have a question regarding SQ01 authorization.

1. Will running SQ01 queries take much memory and slows down the system? I was told that SAP do not recommend running extensive queries with SQ01.

2. I plan to create variants for different countries to run queries like downloading Customer Master etc etc.

My question here is, will there be like an authorization block for what a country can view?

Meaning for example Japan can only see queries related to Japan Sales Organization and Company Code when downloading the Customer Master. Same goes for other country. Is there a restriction or is it that they can view data for all countries.

How can I check this?

Is there an automatic authorisation check to ensure they are only able to create and run reports that they should be authorised with. e.g. table VBAK - SG user can only access VBAK-VKORG = SG* and not the rest. TH only can run for TH* etc.

Hello

For such kind of reports, ABAP Reports are better than SQ01 querry.

I dont think you can put authorization on the variants of the querry.

Even if you create the z transaction for each country but authorization on variant at query level seems to be difficult. ABAP reports will solve your purpose.

Hi

I would suggest you to check the transaction VCUST, and hope it will help you.

talk to your Basis guy who can certaily restrict the User on the basis of Country, which will resolve your issue.
