Need help regarding Wrong entry in pa40

Dear gurus

I have a personnel number 10873. i want to delete this personnel number because by mistake i have enter the wrong details to this Pernr.

Please guide me how to delete it so i can re-enter the details on 10873 again..

From my understanding

u want to del the pernr

and u have to hire the emp in same pernr

okey

Step1. Go to se 38

Step2. RPUDELPN

Step3.Excute (from to give ur number to delelte

Step4.go to pa04

Step5.Status

Step6.change the number range as 10872 ( if it is lost number)

Step7.save

step8.Rehire the emp with same data

this will work only for the pernr hired lostly and not in between

Dear Friend,

Use transacion PA30 to change any details related to the employee. Select the infotype & go for change mode to do the same.

hai

if you want to delete the pernr completely you can go to pu00 select all the infotypes and delete, this deletes the pernr completely. if the number range is internal you can change the current number and then run hiring action again

else

if you want to change only name and designation, then first go to pa30, select infotype 2 and change the name, run the org reassignment action to change the designation

and ini PA04

keep the PERNR which u have deleted in Current status and start hireing in PA40

Hi,<br> No you cant use the same pernr. It is better you go to PA40 put you employee number and select the hiring action and execute. This will allow you to maintain most of the data again. If you are using internal number assignment system will not generate this pernr again.

To My Knowledge yes. we can reuse the employee no, but this is not suggestable in production client.

Hi,

For designation you need to run Orgnizational Reassignment Personnel Action. Employee name can be changed through PA30.

Hi Saad,

You can change the employees name in infotype 2 and for designation,run Org. reassign action and change designation.
