[Missing Link] CR-2008 : Exporting to XML (Sample XSLTs)

In CR-2008 it allows you to define your own Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT) to be used during an Export to XML.

There is a "link" in the CR-2008 application to samples of different XSLTs...but it points to the old Business Objects website (now dead).

Anyone know where these samples now reside on the SAP site...?

The link in CR2008 to the XSLT samples has been updated. The following URL leads to a zip file that contains two report samples along with the XSL transforms they use on export (one transforms the XML output to HTML, the other to CSV):

Try to download cr2008 samples from the following link

I already looked in that location on the SAP site, and the XSLT samples are not there.

The link from within CR-2008 is as follows...

http://www.businessobjects.com/ipl/default.asp?destination=XMLTransformSamples&product=crystalreport...

Any idea where those "XMLTransformSamples" now reside...?

Try to download Crystal Reports 2008 sample reports - Features from the provided link and check the report XML Exporting.rpt

I have already done that - I am not looking for an XML report sample, I am looking for the XSLT sample that is referenced / linked within the CR-2008 product.

I think this XML Export is linked with XSLT Transform. If you open the report and try to export to XML and select Three-Level HTML then it transforms to XSLT.

I think this is the only one sample I see as an example.

Hi,

Apologies for the broken link

Attached is a sample RPT that demonstrates XML exporting. We'll work to correct the link.

Thanks, Blair

Hi,

Does this XML export work fine from the BO Infoview ?

Thanks,

Yes - XML exporting is supported in the Crystal Reports Web (Java DHTML and .Net Webform) viewers (not just when used in InfoView).

Thanks, Blair
