Exporting into Data Only Excel - Multi Line Page Header

Hello,

We use CR to develop reports for our client. Once we have designed the report, we then upload the report into SumTotal for client use. A lot of our reports have a multi-line/object page header and when the report is exported out of SumTotal into a Data Only Excel document, only the last line or text object will show in the excel file. This does not occur when the report is exported with formats. I have tried the following without any success:

1. Tried to break out the page header into a multi-section (A,B,&C).

Result: Only the object in PH-c will show when exported data only.

2. Used the Report Export Options and unchecked "Simplified Page Header."

Result: Only works when exporting directly from the CR application, does not work when report is uploaded into SumTotal and exported.

3. Tried to use a single text object and use returns between each line.

Result: All lines are shown, however strung together in one line within one row in Excel.

I am looking to have the lines in the page header to show in a line by line - row by row manner.

Does anyone know a work around or how to set that up?

Thanks,

Mike

We have the same issue, the first and subsequent multiline object headers are grabbed and placed as the first column headers, left to right, regardless of the column it resides in. If the multiline header is in the first column the export works if not the columns and data elements don't line up.

As a work around you can split the multiline header but then only the bottom line will show as the column header in excel. Not ideal but at least the data lines up

Too me this is a bug. Is there any effort to correct this issue? We are using the bundled crystal in Visual Studio 2008

Thanks,
