Reason Code and Long Text field

We have started to use Reason Code but have an issue with the "long text" field. Is there a way to disable the long text field or have have it copied to a field other than the Text field? Even if the long test is left blank it still deletes anything in the text field in FBL5N and replaces it with a blank.

If I'm understanding your issue correctly, you do not want the long text from the reason code to copy into the line item text. If that is the case, then in the configuration for the relevant reason code(s), you need to check the "Do not Copy Text" check box - it should be the 3rd check box from the left, and the second one labeled "D".
