the problem of the variable in WAD 7.0

Hi Experts,

I have created two variables for the query in query designer , and i use the query in WAD7.0.

But when i execute this WAD,there is not any screen of select variables option.

How to include Select Variant Option in WAD that I can use the variables ?

Hello,

In your WAD, check the properties for your data provider. There is one setting call show variable screen. By default it is false, so if you dont have any mandatory variable, system skips the variable screen.

Try making it true and you will see the screen all the time.

Hi,

If the variable is not a Mandatory variable and ther default values are entered in the Query Designer for that variable then the variable screen wont be shown,but you can invoke it by appending "&VARIABLE_SCREEN=X" in the URL

Make a variable as Mandatory and don't give any default values in QD.This will show you a variable screen
