IL01 - Create functional location

Hi,

Can someone tell me the process flow of t code IL01. How this t code works in sap?

hi

In IL01 ,select your structure indicator and Fl cateogrt specify the hierarchy as per edit mask,then press enter ,where you have to maintain the data required for the technical object

Input data is depend on system configuration , Which inputs are made mandatory and which are optional,

Generally Decription of Function location, Plant section , Cost center, Plant etc.

Please Run IL01 and start putting the values and try to save then system will give error for those input which are mandatory in ur SAP system

Hi Radhika,

Follwoing data is must in Functional location creation.

On initial screen: F.L. Number, Structure Indicator

On F.L. Header: Description of F.L.

In General tab: All data is optional, but it is used for detailed information.

Location tab: Maintenance Plant, Location, PP Work Center,

Organization tab: Company Code, Business Area, Cost Center, Planning Plant, Main Work Center, Catalog Profile

Structure tab: Functional Location

Radhika,

On running IL01 , You have to mention Str Indicator , then if any edit mask is set at configuration then accordinly you need to enter Function location name externally ( If that is also maitain in configuration)

then execute and try to save that function location system will not allow you to save Function location untill and unless you privide the mandatory data ( that has metioned in IMG )
