How to get the product key for BOBJ XI 3.1 Edge series

Hi Guys,

I am trying to install the edge series demo version and i guess i need a product key to continue with my installation. Any idea from where i can get the product key?

BO Edge 3.2 has not been not yet released. Then most actual version is BO Edge 3.1.

Thanks. You are correct. I was actually referring to 3.1 version. That was a typo error.

Thanks for the link. I could download the excel file with the keys. but guess i am confused on which one to use. There are so many of them.

I am simply installing the Business Object Edge Series 3.1 from this link

Could you help me with identifying which key i need to use?

try the key for Edge Standard 20-CAL XI 3.1.

BTW do you want create reports on SAP data sources, while trying the BO Edge out?

the installation is in progress now and my intension is to use the Business Objects 3.1 to connect with SAP or with non-sap database such as MS Access to start using the tool and get an idea about its features and capability.

Could you give an idea where i can find some basic tutorials for getting started with tools such as Xcelsius and Info view?

Hi,

You need to install the BOBJ int.Kit for SAP 3.1 also.

Important: You have to choose the custom BO Edge installation and install Tomcat in order to be able to install the BOBJ int.Kit for SAP afterwards! If you did not do this please uninstall and reinstall BO Edge (with tomcat) again. Otherwise you will not be able to fetch data from SAP sources.

But it does have the .xls or .xxx, so I don't know how to open it.

And I try Edge Standard 20-CAL XI 3.1. , it doesn't work.

Pls tell me how get the key or where.
