Hi Experts,
Any inputs for achieving the following idea in ESS implementation.
For X country -> workset X (Personal Information PCD content created)
For Y country -> workset Y (customised iviews, pages Workset for Personal Information created.)
I want to avoid creating two ESS roles for both X and Y country as other worksets(entry points are common).
I want to display at runtime X and Y worksets respectively to appear for the country specificuser (desktop) .
Here i have tried
- Created workset Y with filter id.
- Created USER_GROUP_Y for country Y with a portal desktop rule with filter id.
- Assigned the workset Y to ESS role.
- When logged in as Y country user , i see both the worksets X and Y
How to achieve filtering two worksets country based using SAME GLOBAL ROLE?

Swathi

Hi Swathi,
Navigate to System Administration >Portal Display> Desktops & Display Rules.
In the Portal Catalog, locate the desktop for which you want to filter the entry points and from the context menu, choose Open--> Object.
In the Filter ID field, specify the Filter ID(s) that you defined for the entry points that you want to appear in top-level navigation. Leave the field empty to display all entry points.
Check this help link for filtering entry points (Roles, worksets or folders):

Hi Swathi,
Perhaps you have missed something..
Have you added more than one Filter ID the Global Role you are talking about? Say Filter ID X and Filter ID Y ? Separating entries with a semicolon ?.. Since you want the same role to be displayed in both desktops...
And did you assign Filter ID X to workset of Country X, and Filter ID Y to workset of Country Y?

Anagha
