Delivery complete indicator marked in PO still GR is possible

All SAP Gurus,

We have made one PO and made goods receipt for the partial quantity against it.

Now, any more deliveries of that item are not aspected, so we have marked the that item in PO with delivery complete indicator.

But, still the GR for that item against same PO is possible (which we do not want).

Is there something more to be done for the GR not to be possible against that PO?

Hi rajan,

Delivery completion indicator in Po will not stop further GR, But still if u r not expecting anymore GR against that PO, u can stop GR by 3 ways.

1. Make that warning msg into error msg which u r getting @ the time of GR

2. Reduce the qty in ur PO

3. U can block the line item if all the processes were completed wrt that PO

But personally i believe, changing the warning msg into error msg is the best option.

If u dont the warning msg #, then let me know the same, i will provide u

Hello, we have the same problem but do not get a warning message? Can you tell me how to get the message so that I can change it to an error? Thanks for your help. -Sheri

Hi,

Two options are there, one you may change the PO qty to the actual delivered qty and save the PO or the next you may just block the line item in the PO, But please note that open invoice quantity should be cleared before you block the line item or else you will need to re-visit the PO while MIRO

It doesn't matter..because the Open PO qty does not reduce, when you use the delivery compleated indicator...

So, yes GR is possible further but the open PO qty doesn't change via next delivery...

hi,

If you don't expect further GR and even then you have got the GR, then do GR to blocked stock and then return the material to the vendor from there itself..
