MRP in background

Hi,

After mrp run in background in the spool list , there is column of selection group besides material.

What does that indicate ?

In the spool list it shows planned materials and selection group .

Dear,

After running MRP in MD01 transaction,in the next screen selection group column is there.

The selection group is for grouping related exception messages. You can get the exceptions for a selection group by clicking the Exp Group button on top. The MRp list gives the number of materials which are having the exceptions in every group. This will help the MRP controller to have a quick look at the type of exceptions and take appropriate corrective actions.

Hi,

Thanks for the input .But i am unable to get " You can get the exceptions for a selection group by clicking the Exp Group button on top" .

When i click on paticular group no in formation is displayed . Are there any settings for this ?

Also for some materials , the selection group number is displayed in red.

Dear,

You will get them in to MD06, MD05 and MD04 not in spool request.

In MD05 after executing the report in MRP list:material list screen click on push button ---> define traffic light

against the message group select the traffic light as per your requirement.
