Server-Based GW Integration - Email Integration ...!!!

Former Member

Hi all,

I have a custom requirement regarding the Email integration based on Server-Side Intergration.

My Customer wants that all the emails coming to a particular email address shall be automatically

Transferred to Crm without manual transferring it from Outlook to CRM 2007.

My Question:

Whether Such functionality is Supported by standard Server based GW Integration.

If yes what could be the configuration Step...?

Is there any solution to configure it?

Best Regards,

Hi Usman,

I dont think automatically transfer of mails are posssible in CRM Standard as inbox is just a replication of your Groupware server.

You may need to explore the possible developments with your Technical Team.

Usman,

You can do this by configuring your exchange server to relay a copy of all messages sent to certain addresses to the CRM ERMS tool. Most of this configuration would take place on your groupware server and then you would need to configure the ERMS system of CRM to process those messages received.

The groupware connector tool supplied by SAP is mainly for calendar and address book integration with SAP CRM.

Take care,

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for your valueable response. Could you please ellaborate a bit more

how the process should look like in the ERMS.

I have seen the ERMS, the configuration are mostly relevent to the Interaction Center.

So would it be possible to configure the Emails messages using ERMS to Inbox of SalesPro/ServicePro in Webclient.

If somebody has the documentation/cookbooks for this scenario, would be of great help.

Usman,

Honestly I'm not sure yet myself as I have this requirement for a future project, but haven't played with/researched the config/development needed to perform this magic. I'm sure it can be done, but I'm about a month or two away before I actually try to make the system work in this fashion. The book called Maximizing Your SAP CRM Interaction Center has some information on ERMS config, so you might want to get a copy and look there.

Take care,

Stephen

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for the prompt response.

I guess the good start would be then with this SAP Note :" 882653 - FAQ about the Agent Inbox of the Interaction Center (IC) WebClient" as it answers some of the questions in this area. Meanwhile if you come to some idea please share with me as well.
