Yadav,

Work center can only be Plant specific. Can you explain, how is this possible? Is that you are using some shared facility among the plants? If so you need to capture this costs through overheads only.

YS,

This is very much possible.

Create that CNC m/c as the work center in one of the plant say plant A.

Now when you are creating a routing in the other plant i.e. B for any product, while maintaining the operations in the routing give input of this work center. (If you are giving input by typing the work center then give input for the plant as A too brfore hitting the enter key or else error message will be displayed that the work center is not maintained in plant B. If taking the drop do)wn or F4 then change input to plant A from plant B in the selection.)

No need to maintain the dummy work center in the other plant.

Hope this helps you.

Dear ys yadav

It is possible to conduct the operations as you require. For this please maintain the work centre of the external plant in the routing for the product to be manufactured in the original plant. While confirming the operation system will generate the required STO to move the material to the 2nd plant to perform the operation on the cnc. This is necessary since the material is moving out of the plant during this operation. We cannot share the work centre as it is purely plant specific.

Please check and revert.

Thanks,
