Outbound buffering for idocs

Hi,

i've got data delivered as idocs. I'd like to read the data at a specific moment in our scheduling process. We already use the same functionality for file data. In this case we switch the specific CC on/off by our scheduler.

Is there a possibility to buffer the incoming idocs in the outbound adapter - delayed processing - and trigger the adapter by our scheduler? I know, that we could solve this challende with ccBPM, but I like to do it without BPM. We are using PI 7.0.

Hi,

both types of Idocs can be scheduled:

outbound from SAP ERP -> SAP PI - in the partner profile select - collect idocs

inbound SAP PI -> SAP ERP - in the partner profile select - trigger by background program

in both cases only when you run special report will be idoc be send (outbound), processed (inbound)

hi,

what do you mean with partner profile. Can i setup this in my SAP PI environment or do i need to configure something in the SAP ERP System, that sends the idocs?

Where can i find more information according this configurations?

hey

partner profile is done in SAP ERP systems

go to transaction WE20 and do the configurations to hold IDOC for outbound and inbound message flow.
