How to restore PL08 database to PL10 Database

Hi Experts

I have a company database in B1 2007 PL08 which I want to restore in B1 2007 PL10 . When i restore the database and run the SAP. It ask for update the database after clicking on ok it start to create database. When Actually start the company it does not show any transaction , however it has master data. What can be the solution?

Hi Gorge,

Your current company running ON 2007 PL : 08.

You want to restore the Current company backup to another machine (Its running on 2007 PL : 10)

is correct.

If iam understanding wrong pl tell me in detail

Hi,

After restoring the database while opening SAP B1,it would promt a message inorder to take a backup.

At this stage again take the backup of the restored database.

Now open SAP B1,it would prompt for upgrading the database.

On choosing Yes,you can view the upgrade of tables in the status bar of SAP B1.

Then while logged in B1,the backup of PL 08 is upgraded to PL10.

If you have followed the above steps and even then you are not able to view transaction,then pls take a fresh backup of PL08 and try to upgrade
