user authentication encrypted or not???

Hi

We would like to know that when user is logged from SAP GUI to the R/3 system, password will be send in encrypted form or not?

If the password is not send in encrypted form from SAP GUI, then what is the procedure to enabled it?

Also we would like to know, the password send from brower to SAP enterprise portal is in the encrypted form or not?

Password encryption is totally depend upon whether you are using some encryption tchnique or not..
