Warranty Stock

I have stock which has come back to manufacturing plant from the customer for repair.

It was under warranty cover.

It is not sales return stock.

How I can bifurcate in the system that this is warranty stock , not the sales return stock.?

The other option could be maintaining such data in class and charcteristics of the material mm02 .. and develop some reports ..

Since there is no special stock type for such materials, I guess one option you have is to make a New Storage location for such materials. That way atleast you can get stock details for these cases.

By distinguishing the stock by storage location is not the right way.

if this stock is kept in another storage location say menat for storing scrap then we will not know where it has gone and moreover it will treated as scrap
