User license type 53 - error "User type 53 is not active

Hi Experts,

One of our end user is facing this "User license type 53 - error "User type 53 is not active" issue.

Can any one help me what need to be done for resolve this issue.

Can you explain in more details when the user is getting the message for what activity?

for the time being you can have a look at the License tab in SU01 for that user... if anything has been maintained incorrect. also have a look at below:

Hi

User was doing IDOC transfer to the BI backend system from Central system.

USER E 0000000000033689 user type 53 is not active

USER E 0000000000033689 COMPANY ADDRESS 39953 NOT FOUND IN THE SYSTEM.

This is above two line in RED signal he is getting the probelm.

Please help .

go to txn USMM.

License type 53 might have been inactive in usertypes.

Have you checked the company address assigned to the user exists in both systems? (tx SUCOMP)

What user type is the user categorised in the Licence Data tab in SU01 for the sending and receiving systems?

User Type 53 is:

53 mySAP Limited Prof. (Cat III) mySAP Business Suite Limited Professional (Cat III)

Check whether the active user types for both the user ids in these two systems are in sync or not. Also make sure that there is no wrong value is set in SU01 for the user id. Both system should contain same settings for company specific settings.. like ... Company address, Decimal Notation of users, Time Zone of user, License type etc. etc. ...

Check these things and let us know what you got.

fyi: User types can be activated in USMM..

When I checked in SU01, License data-Contractuacl user type id, drop down list is showing 53. 53 is shown as text of ID not as ID (number). but when I checked in USMM I could not find the text 53 for Contractuacl user type id. my SAP Ltd. profess (CAT III) Contractuacl user type id value is 53 but in the drop down list text my SAP Ltd. profess (CAT III) is shown not the value 53.

How this Contractuacl user type id 53 (text) created ?

pls check the active price lists in your landscape. If you use centralized contr.assignement of course the settings should be consistent.....

From SU01, remove the entry for the user and keep the field blank. Then perform the activities again where you were getting the error. You don't need to keep any user specific entry in SU01 for licensing. Hope your problem will be away..
