HCM Forms - Position in the selection Screen

Hi,

Right now i can see only Personnel no in the selection screen, is it possible to have Position No instead of Personnel no, in the selection screen, as i have a requirement to change the Position data through HCM adobe forms.

I think I understand what you WANT to do.

OM processes/actions are part of enhancement pack 4. You can perform actions against job, position, and org unit with the new SAP_PD service.

This is a bit different that the "start application" that you are referring to which is really meant to initiate from an employee perspective.

Hi Chris,

There is an option in SPRO - Enable process start Without selection of Start object under 'Set up processes - > Process groups'. i have tried this configuration but i am not able to see the process in portal.

In the portal we can see Execute Hiring, which doesnt take employee as an input. How is this configured.

Prior to EhP4, you set this "skip employee selection" (ie. object selection) on the backend as you mention. In that case, if you look at the hiring example, you will have to pass information to the application (this is done for the hiring example via the Homepage Framework configuration which passed the PROCESS parameter). This has the effect of "jumping" you into the edit form view directly (ie. skipping employee search and process list/selection views). Just look at how that is done for the new hire example.

For EhP4, there is a new option. The user can now make this determination (ie. don't pick employee) on the front end. For example, they may not know an employee right off, but will pick that later. This is a little "checkbox" on the employee search view now.

hi Chris,

The hiring iview in HR admin has the following appl. parameters "sap.xss.disablehdr=true&RoleContext=HRASRA&ProcGrp=HIRE". We have tried using sap.xss.disablehdr=true&RoleContext=HRASRB, but it did not work. Can you please let me know what is the parameter to hide the first step.

Hi Nikhil,

If you need to change Position data via HCM Forms and Processes and you are on EnhPack 4.0 HR then you can use the Organisational Management services and SAP standard delivered forms to do this.

I have just implemented change, create, delimit processes for a client with the new SAP_PD service and implemented my own BADI for a Generic Service which handles custom infotype updates on a Position.

An example can be found via the MSS Organisational Management - Start Processes link via Enterprise Portal however you can setup your processes to trigger under another role in the portal if you wish.

This iView calls a Web Dynpro application called ASR_PD_PROCESS_EXECUTE and you need to pass some other parameters in such as the initiator role HRASRA and HRASRB for example (admin, manager roles).

For PD services you can setup a process via HRASR_DT the new design time for forms and configure a start object i.e. a Position or Org Unit within your process. Remember you trigger a Process which contains a Form Scenario and a Workflow Scenario to model your business process.

The standard delivered software enables you to see a list of positions or org units under the logged on user's area of responsibility, you can then select a Position/Org Unit and trigger a form (your own or there is a very basic standard for for Position change).

It sounds like you are trying to trigger a PA step which uses a selected employee, you need to use the PD forms where you use a Position or Organisational Unit as a lead object.

Try and create a new iView using the ASR_PD_PROCESS_EXECUTE. If you still need some help I can find some iView settings etc that may get you started. Also if you are on EnhPack4 you can do most configuration tasks via HRASR_DT and not via SPRO

Hi Leigh,

I have come across your posting in SDN for HCM forms. i am working on HCM OM forms. Can you tell me how the final update will happen in the back end. For example if i am creating new position , after the final approval how the infotype will be updated.. do i have to implement bapi or its done through Workflow? Please let me know.

We are on EHP4 and using HCM OM Forms. When i loginto portal and selecting " Start organizational process" new window popsup but i dont see any process there. I am getting this message back "No Object is configured to start PD Process".

Can you tell me is there any configuration needs to be done at backend.

I am working on OM Forms. Can you please let me know what should be the lead_object_id for creating position. (document says Org Unit ) but i am facing some problem on that.

Hi Mason,

I already activate object type and I can select organization unit but when I try to select process. It mentions that there is no process available. How can I show my process in start organization view. The process has been shown in Start employee iView that I did not want.

And how can I set the process to be show in each iView. There is the parameter name teamviewer_used = X. Do I need to change the parameter to something else? And how can I set the link between process and iView to be shown only some process. I can did it in ESS because I just specify only process name in parameter. But for manager for both PA and PD process, I have no idea how to do that.

Please point me out. I am now in jigsaw pieces but it still not link all together.
