SM30 : Transport Option

Hi All,

I am having a table whose Delivery Class is 'A' and Data Browser/Table View Maint. is 'Display maintenance Allowed'. Now I have generated a maintenance view for the same with the option 'No, or user, recording routine'.

My understanding says, if I do not use standard recording routine, then no request will be asked. In such cases I have to manually transport. After saving data, I tried transporting the data. It gave me this error:

Transport is not possible for the specified data

Can anyone please help.

When I enable standard recording routine, A or C made difference to the kind of request expected viz Workbench or Customizing. Otherwise, it is the same.

Please guide.

Hi,

While creating TMG screen you have select standard recording routine instead of 'No, or user, recording routine'. Regenerate TMG Screen by opting 'standard recording routine'. then it will ask transport request while saving Table enties.

Normally if you dont want to transport table entries into diffent landscape then only you have to choose recording option as ''No, or user, recording routine'' otherwise you have to choose 'standard recording routine'.

I do not want a transport request prompt on each save. I want to transport only when required using the transport button in SM30. Data is not maintained thru SM30 in my case. I just have to transport manually to other system BUT under a REQUEST only.

How is User Recording done and moved is the question that still remains unanswered.

Hi Narayanan,

You have to realize the user recording routine using the events 10, 11 and 12 of the View Maintenance events.

Also check the client setting using transaction SCC4. It has to be set to 1, which is "Changes without automatic recording".
