DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_REQUEST error

Hi All ,

I am getting this error ,when i login to ECC 6.0 .This is IDES version .I use windows vista OS and i use external hard disk to connect to SAP ,using VMware .

The error is like this .

statement an invalid request was made to the database interface

when accessing table "DOKTL ".

I saw many posts in the forums ,I couldnt find the solution ..pls help..coz its creating lot of trouble ,am getting this error when i press F1 for some documentation on the sap fields ...
