Generating XML in the background

Hello SAP Gurus,

I am trying to generate XML files on SAP 4.6. I able to generate the files in the foreground using GUI_DOWNLOAD function, but do not know how to do in the background.

I have tried searching some on the SDN network, but have no solution yet.

Can anyone help me.
