validator not working for "Developing Web Apps with SAPUI5"

Presently, I just completed unit 5 of week 0 on the SAPUI5 course, see

The exercise here indicates that the developer is to add this line of code, then run the application in the SAP Web IDE:

<script src=""></script>

This I have done, but when I run the web app there is not blue validator icon as indicated in the video. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Here is the full code of index.html:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge">
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>openSAP - Developing Web Apps with SAPUI5</title>
"opensap.myapp": "./"
<script src=""></script>
sap.ui.getCore().attachInit(function () {
// workaround begin: start a mock server
var oMockServer = new sap.ui.core.util.MockServer({
rootUri: "/destinations/ES4/sap/opu/odata/IWBEP/GWSAMPLE_BASIC/"
oMockServer.simulate("metadata.xml", {
bGenerateMissingMockData: true
// workaround end
new sap.ui.core.ComponentContainer({
name : "opensap.myapp"
<body id="content">

  • Have the same problem 3 years later. Just added the validator to my web app, right in the beginning of the course. Doesn't get a result. This is taken directly out of the exercise document provided: "openSAP_ui5_Week_0_Unit_5_AGACE_Exercise.docx"

    When I look in the developer tools I see: "Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ()"

    My webapp is *really* simple, so I was pretty disheartened that it doesn't work at this level of simplicity.

    <!DOCTYPE html >
    		<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge"/>
    		<meta charset="UTF-8">
    		<title>OpenSAP - Developing Web Apps with SAPUI5</title>
    		<script id="sap-ui-bootstrap" src="...resources/sap-ui-core.js" ...>
    		<script src="">
    		<p>Hello World</p>
