Migrate deployed j2ee application to new server

Dear All,

Is it possible to migrate deployed nwds j2ee application to new installed server without original ear file?

Between, is it possible to re-generate the deployed application as ear file or direct copy the /usr/sap/DEX/DVEBMGS30/j2ee/cluster/server0/apps directory to new server?

Any idea..

Thank you.

Regards,

Weng

Hi Weng,

First see if under Apps folder,For existing application src.zip is present.

if yes then from src.zip try to recreate the DC or Project with same name and Vendor by coping the src folder in NWDS.

If everything Builds fine deploy the new EAR file on migration server.

Hi,

Please let us know if you have NWDI setup in the landscape you are working.

If NWDI setup is present, then

a) New Server can be made part of new DEV system

b) Migrate the whole content in single step

Hi Ganga,

NWDI is not setup in the server.

And we are not going to migrate the whole server. We just need to migrate certain application.

Thank you.

Thank you.
