Hi Forum guru's,
I am currently involved in a CUP implementation, version 5.3 configured with a two stage approval, i.e.
1st stage (line manager) and then second stage (Functional area approver).
Would a functional area approver, be able to submit a request for himself, then get the line manager to approve it, then ultimately he would be the last approver and the request would auto provision.
Is there any way that CUP handles situations whereby we could specify maybe a detour for example, that if the requestor ID is the same as an approver ID, then Detour to the GRC administrator?
We are happy with the current two stage approval, but worried about the functional area owners as we have quite a few, i.e. +-85
Any advice on how to handle this situation would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Prevo.
Hello Prevo,
Its not possible to have a detour with such a condition as you mentioned. The only thing that you can do is set the Approve or Reject own request setting to YES and have the functional area approver approver his own requests. Though this is not recommended.

Hi Prevo,
Sorry to let you know but there is no detour condition available to achieve this. As of now, I don't think you can control this scenario in CUP. You should open an enhancement request for this as this is a very important requirement.
