Regions - Country

Dear Gurus,

I am trying to upload a customer master data .txt file using the LSMW transaction. This file contains 15 foreign customers. It has been checked for Batch Input Session. However when I am trying to upload the data into my client's system, I have a message of error because the country to which the customer belongs to is Serbia. Now Serbia country code is CS, and the system request a region to be input.

The problem is that there are no regions into the main ECC6 for such a country.

I have 2 questions:

1- How can I create those regions myself?

2- How can I instruct the system to bypass this, and make the regions for such a country not a mandatory field and therefore carry on my uploading?

Your input is greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Chris

Hi

In OBD2 account groups remove the region from required and make it optional.

Thank you for your input

OSS is your friend => Check OSS 1032513 - New regulation for Serbia.

Follow SAP recomendation through additional customizing.

1. New country code

The code elements CS and SCG representing "Serbia and Montenegro" are obsolete.

Proposal for the maintenance of new country "Serbia":

(IMG-Transaction SPRO -> General settings -> Set Countries

-> Define Country in mySAP.com systems)

-Country RS

Thanks Aj!

I was quite sure I would find something in the OSS for that question, because SAP takes care of regulatory requirements. I also remembered having seen an OSS note for the updated list of European countries for Intrastat, and this is a related question.

Hello Frank,

Thank you very much for your input; it is very clear, concise and structured. I only wish more SAP consultants could understand questions and answer them the way you do.

I have followed your advise and it works fine.

Again thank you very much you saved me a lot of time.

Hi Christian,

You are very welcome.

But it is not my writing: It is an OSS Note!
