Possible to apply a "Off-set" filter in a BO Universe?

Hi Experts

I do not have access to a SAP BW environment which is integrated to BO. However I have a couple of questions in relation to the integration.

Question A)

I would like to know if it is possible to apply a filter in a BO Universe which makes sure that no data older than 5 (hole years) are shown in BO reports which are on top of the BO Universe? The filter should be based on a given time-char from the InfoProvider/Query which the BO Universe is based on.

Ex. 1:
This year (2009) only data for the years below should be
shown in the reports which are created on top of the BO Universe:
- 2009 (half year)
- 2008 (1st hole year)
- 2007 (2nd hole year)
- 2006 (3rd hole year)
- 2005 (4th hole year)
- 2004 (5th hole year)

Ex. 2: Next year (2010) only data for the years below should be
shown in the reports which are created on top of the BO Universe:
- 2010 (half year)
- 2009 (1st hole year)
- 2008 (2nd hole year)
- 2007 (3rd hole year)
- 2006 (4th hole year)
- 2005 (5th hole year)

Question B)

In case it is, is it then somehow possible to make a generel filter like the one above which is applied to several BO Universes?

Question C)

In case it is possible to apply a filter like describe above on a BO Universe (or to apply a general filter which is applied to several BO Universes) which is the drawback then? Does it affect the performance? would it have been better to have applied the filter in a query on the BW system etc?

I'm asking as we would like to avoid to apply a filter to 1000 existing SAP BW queries.

Thanks and kind regards,

Torben
