Legacy asset deletion after AS91

Hi All,

How to delete few assets after loading thru AS91. ( As 60 records are duplicated Input file issue- Basically I dont want to delete all 9000 records )

Tcode AS06 does not allow me to delete with a message values are there. The SAP message is cryptic and they mentioned use the Transaction to change old asset and then delete - but not mentioned the Tcode.

Tried to delete after deactivation also but didnt work.

Hi chitras,

First in as91 make takeover values zero,then go to as02 and put deactivation date save the asset.now go to as06 and select asset physically delete and save it.

I could have followed. But I have deleted all the data and recreated after deleting wrong records.

how you deleted 60 assets? one by one? I have almost 200 unposted assets. how can delete them all together?

Despoina.

First of all tell one thing that does your all assets having values ? If values are there for those assets ,

go to AS92 click on take over values button then make all fields ZERO and save.

Come to AS06 put asset number and select option from Physically delet asset.

Transaction AS06.

It is possible that this is not working when there are values on, in that case you have to make a posting with ABAVN - Asset Retirement by Scrapping and manual to corect the postings

If I take the route of retirement it will create accounting entries. Accounting entries will be there. Basically want to maintain the clean status w/o any accounting entries becoz when I loaded in AS91 only ( no balance update)

Is there any other way I can delete the records ? ( to make as06 to delete)

As long as you have not posted any transactional values during AS91 you can go to AS92 delete your APC and Accum Dep values (make NBV = 0) and than try to use AS06 and you will be able to delete your records.

As you said by making NBV 0 through AS92 its perfectly working fine. And I am to delete the asset from AS06.
