I have scoured the SWDC and searched here for all sorts of variations of ISA for CRM, but can not find a ConfigGuide...So, I suspect one does not exist, but want to be sure before assuming it doesn't.
All I've been able to find is ISA for ERP6 or ICSS for CRM2007, but we want to stay with the ISA for CRM2007 as that's what we're used to from our ISA4 for CRM.
Before I start using the ICSS guide and try to implement only those parts we can use (we're not a Service company, so don't need warranties, config prods, etc.) I'm just trying to determine if/what we're missing.

Anyone aware of any inherent issues to be on the watch for?

Sap has provided Best practices for CRM E.service only in CRM 2007, even i have checked for E sales. we have to use CRM 5.0 E-sales best practices in CRM 2007 seems.
