Using Excel Templates with Crystal Reports

I have some report templates created for XL Reporter that I am trying to use as templates for Crystal Reports as well. They are for 5, 10 and 15 minute snapshot turbidity reports which are report types that our customers might actually use. The issue I seem to be having is that the templates have VB code to do some of the work of reporting such as querying VTScada via SQL calls to get the necessary data for the report. As a result of containing VB code they are *.xlsm files not *.xlsx files. Is there an import method or a way to use an Excel *.xlsm or *.xlsx file as a template for Crystal Reports?

Yes, at least one of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports desktop schedulers listed here: http://kenhamady.com/productlinks/default.html#desktopsched allows you to populate excel templates from Crystal Reports export and/or formula values.
The process can preserve (and repeat per each newly inserted row) formula logic, sparklines, etc.
The process can also trigger Macros.
