APO versus SCM

Is APO now a part of ECC 6.0 or is it a component of SCM 7.0?

If someone is able to point me towards some SAP SAP documentation as well - it would be greatly appreciated.

All the best.

Since version 4.0 when the term SCM was coined APO became an application component of SAP SCM Application. APO is not part of ECC but its part of SCM - whichever version it is.

SCM 7.0 or Business Suite 7 has APO as an application component.

    Hi Yosh,

APO is advanced planning and optimization..It has different parts in it like

    1.Demand planning

    2.supply network planning

    3.pp/ds

    4.tp/vs and few more..

And SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT has parts in it like

    1.APO

    2.EXTENDED WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT

    3.SAP ICH

    4.SAP EVENT MANAGEMENT

so APO is a part of SCM whatever the version is!!

ECC is the central core component on which all the modules work on.

APO is part of SCM AND not ECC
