ODP SLT DataSource on an ECC view for BW

I am following the document "Streamline the Data Transfer into SAP BW with SAP LT Replication Server (TechEd DMM268). The doc shows how to use a view that is created on slflight and scarr.

I am able to successfully create a DataSource on a table (MARA, EKPO, etc.), but when I attempt to use an active view from ECC I get the following message:

Source xxxxxxx not found, not released or not authorized.

I addition, if I click on the drop down to select an operational data provider, all we see are ECC tables, no views. Anyone have any ideas what I am missing?
