Problem saving report in enterprise server

Former Member

I have created a report with dynamic parameter (read from a db field) and facing problem when i save the report into the enteprise server. When saving through crystal report server 2008 designer tool, I get the error message "Failed to read data from report ...Reason:Failed to read parameter object"

Through infoview I get the error message " An unexpected error has occurred"

If I make parameter as static (no drop down box at runtime) it works fine.

Hi Pradeep,

I faced the same problem with crystal report 2008. Unfortunately did not found any notes on this. Athough there were some note for Crystal report XI with the same problem.

One case I found was.. I had a report with dynamic prompt in a folder on BOE. I deleted the report and again try to save it to BOE. But I was not able to save the report to this folder and got this error.

But I was able to save the report to other folders.

Best Regards,

Chetan
