How to Realease Descriptive characterstics to SNP

Hi Experts,

I need to release descriptive characterstics to SNP, Could you please help me step by step process for implementing this process in DP.

I am using APO version 5.1 (2007)

Hi Hitesh,

Descriptive characteristics are used in Order liveCache. In order to use the forecast from Demand Planning, you must release the demand plan to SNP.

In the release transaction, you must edit the fields that appertain to descriptive characteristics. The descriptive characteristics are then attached to the resulting planned independent requirements.

Found the way of doing it.

Hi ,

first you need to maintain the consumption group using the t-code /sapapo/csp1..add necessary characteristics that you require.

consumption group are used with descriptive characteristics to enable the forecast to be consumed by customer requirement.

Then assign this consumption group to your product master in the demand tab.

Then use the release of demand plan to snp/ppds using the t-code /sapapo/mc90

specify the requirements strategy in which you want to release your plan.this should be same even in the product master(demand tab).

or you can release using mass processing job.
