About Re-create APO

Hi experts,

Now, we want to re-breate APO.(QAS)

As I think APO similar BW,

we would be re-create APO by Data-Reload from R/3.

If it is easier or general to Re-create APO by Client Copy or System Copy,

please let me know.

Hi Toshi,

The process of re-creation / re-building APO system depends on the APO modules you have implemented. APO is similar to BW only for portion of Demand Planning Module.

Not sure what you mean by client copy and system copy as separate things.

Normally you will do a client copy without copying the master and transaction data which you can import from R/3 via CIF.

Note you will need to convert the logical system names (transaction BDLS) after the client copy from Dev to say QAS. Otherwise CIF will look at your Dev R/3 system instead and will not be able to transfer data.

Hi somnath,

Thank you for your advice.

We use DP,SNP and PPDS.

"Client Copy" means SCC8 or SCC9, and

"System Copy" means DB Copy.(MSSQL Detach&Attach)

Maybe what you mean is to import data from R/3 to APO

without "Client Copy" & "System Copy".
