SSM 7.0 - Busines unit/department field to which the KPI belongs

Hi all,

We were reviewing the SAP Best Practices for SSM 2007: http://help.sap.com/bp_smv2007/SSM_US/HTML/index.htm

Reading the KPI Worksheet.doc included in the Implementation Tools section we found the following section:

2.2.2.2 BUSINESS UNIT/DEPARTMENT {Column U}

that refers to the Business Unit or Department Designation to which the KPI belongs.

I just want to know if there is any field in SSM to save the deparment information. I don't think so...

We are running SSM 7.0

Thank you very much in advance.

Kind regards,

Santiago

Hi Santiago

I dont think that feature is available in SSM 7.0. we can save KPIs on the basis of objectives and perspectives but I dont think it is possible to save the department information.

Hi Santiago:

I think the standard SSM 7 does not support this additional "department" field.

One way is your can use Owner column to represent department inforamtion, and this field is just a description for kpi

Another way I think you can ask product team to give some small modification, and I think it will not take much effort.

Thank you so much

Thank you for your answer Louis.

We are already using the owner field.

The department field is not a key functional need required by our customer so we have not included this information in the SSM implementation scope.

Regards,

Santiago
