Hi Guru's,
My user wants depreciation calculation Daywise.for leasehold assets they are calculated depreciation on daybasis.if we need to uplaod lagacy assets in asset master there is option years and periods for useful life but i didnt find days option.
If i miss some thing configuration please suggest me.

There is no standard option to calculate depreciation based on days. When you want this you have to create your own depreciation method with a user exit.

You would need to work out the useful life in years and periods and then enter this as your useful life.
For example : 1365 days = 3 years and 9 periods (where 1 year = 365 days and 1 period = 30 days)
If you have depreciation method which calculates to the day then this will then calculate depreciation based on 1365 days.

You can set your depreciation key to claculate "Depreciation to the day" via the following:
Transaction AFAMA => Depreciation Key Details
Double Click on the relevant "DepKy" (Do NOT select "Assignment of Calculation Methods" as this is a different screen)
Within the Depreciation Key details you will see numerous options and one of which is "Dep.to the day".
We currently use this and it works succesfully.
