SAP BI process chain - plan with variable

Hello,

I want to make the start of a BI process chain dependent on a variable

(not an event or a calendar directly).

Is there a function or something I can call?

Hi Thomas,

I guess we need more information

• You could start the chain from an ABAP-Report or whatever you use to set the variable
• You could run a job as John mentions to trigger an event
• you could schedule the chain on regular base and use as first step a decision to check the variable and stop in this case the run

So and I'm sure I wil some further ideas if you give as more details 😉

I'm not sure I understand the question.

To meet your need, I would create an ABAP program to raise the triggering event, using the logic you desire.
