Tableau connecting SAP HANA DB

Hi,

I am trying to connect SAP HANA DB and I am getting below error

An error occurred while communicating with SAP HANA. The connection to the data source might have been lost. [SAP AG][LIBODBCHDB DLL][HDBODBC] Communication link failure;-10709 Connect failed (connect timeout expired) Unable to connect to the server "10.249.0.50". Check that the server is running and that you have access privileges to the requested database.

The port 31015 is opened and is anything you need initiate from the network team for HDODBC connection. Our HANA DB is Multi-tenant DB I tried all the option. I am using SYSTEM user do i need add any specific privilege for SYSTEM user. I have installed HANA Client 2

Your istance number is really 10 (as indicated by 31015)?

As you are saying you are using an MDC system, to which database you are trying to connect? To the system database or to a/the first tenant database. The standard port for the SYSTEM database is 3xx13 (xx = your instance number), using 3xx15 in a default config would connect to the first tenant database.

There are two system DB with instance ID 10 and 20 (31015&32015).Two tenant db using instance no 10 and other tenant db's using instance no 20. So I tried with 31013 and I am getting connected to _SYS_BIC schema only

Please help ?

As you can connect now, I think the original question is answered and can be closed.

Regarding the new question: What do you expect? To which schema you wanna connect? As you are using Tableau to access reporting relevant column views I assume, _SYS_BIC is correct.

I am familiar with HANA DB how to add the tenant DB SID is ED1 instance no 10. Do I have to use same 3xx13 or 31015. Is there any specific way to read all the entire tables in SAP HANA
