Hi!
My SAP HANA is version 2 SP3.
I'm following this video tutorial on SAP Academy youtube channel and have created an LDAP-authorized user and made sure that it was associated with my LDAP provider.
Now I have two big problems:
1. I tried to use this user for SAP Studio and I kept getting an error that the user name or password are not correct. I can, however, connect locally on my machine with hdbsql.
2. I'm using a sniffer to analyze the communication on my Hana server and when I use my LDAP user to login locally with hdbsql I don't see any traffic that I can say for sure comes from the connection. But there is definitely a login and I can definitely connect to the database.
Can anyone explain why these two things are happening?
Please can you update your HANA Studio Version to the most recent version (2.3.39 at the Moment) which is the recommended version for SAP HANA 2.0 SPS03. Your version 2.3.8 is already quite old. For the LDAP logon feature in HANA Studio you the new version. For details about what HANA Studio version is valid/recommended for which HANA db version, please check SAP note 2375176.
Regards,
Florian

If you do not have configured an update site as described in the SAP HANA Studio Installation and Update Guide, the Check for Updates will not find an update for HANA Studio itself. In case you can download it from the SAP Support Site or just just a plain e.g. Eclipse Oxygen installation with installed SAP HANA Tools like described here.
Maybe you should solve the first issue, instead asking for another one.
But I assume (as for the first thing) you just missed to to the configuration steps to use LDAP with JDBC as described in the HANA Client Installation and Update Guide (-> chatper 5 at the moment).
You are good in posting "rude comments" here, instead of being really pro-active. Good luck.
