Longtext variables in an application log

Hi,

can I have variables in the longtext of an application log (transaction SLG1). In the shortmessages of the log I can add my variables by using the syntax &1. Normally I can add parameters to a longtext by adding the syntax &parameter&. This does not work.

Is it possible in general to add parameters to longtexts stored in an application log (because then it would be neccessary to store the parameters passed during the runtime in the database)? How does it work exactly?
