How to add multiple Ship-to in Sales Document Header?

Scenario-

I need to add multiple Ship-to in Sales Document. I was able to add different Ship-to party for different items(In item level). However while adding multiple Ship-to's in Sales Header level, It is showing "Partner function SH can only occur 1 times in procedure KAB (Sales Document Header)". I checked the partner determination procedure for Sales Order Header, I could not find any relevant config missing in there.

Can anyone please help me finding the issue here and how to resolve this?

Note- We are using

S4 HANA and BP comes into picture for my project. However I could not find any additional determination for BP. So I feel it all depends upon the partner determination(Sold-to and Ship-to).

Hello Purna,

Whether you can or cannot enter multiple Ship to Party at Sales Order Header level does not matter, since the Delivery is split based on Ship to Party. Which means even if you have multiple Ship to's in Sales Order, Delivery would be split for each of the Ship to Party.

This with this in mind the current SAP Standard of adding multiple Ship to Party's at Sales Order Item level fits perfectly.

Or do you have a valid Business case to enter Ship to Party at Sales Order Header Partners?

My business case is resolved as it allowed me to add different Ship-to in line item.

My curiosity is that, why it is not allowing me to add multiple ship to in Sales Order header level even if all the configs are justified. Is it hard-coded not to use multiple Ship-to at header level?

please check the note 2005775 Error VPD012 Partner function SH can only occur 1 times in procedure TA (Sales Document Head...

I know that this note not is up to date, but I suppose that this still valid and SAP do not update the note version.

Thanks for your help.

We are in implementation phase and my business case is resolved. The question was out of my curiosity that why I could not add more Ship to in Header level even if Configs set up looks fine.
