Problems with installation Integration Kit for SAP

Former Member

Hi gurus,

please help me

I have following installations:

SAP BO Enterprise XI 3.1.

SAP BW 7.0.

I install BOE XIR3 3.1 Client Tools, Integration Kit for SAP and SAP GUI (version 7100.3.12.1042 patch 12) on local computer.

I'm trying to create universe that can connect to SAP BW. But when I create connection to my BW server and test it I have error message (SBO0001).

Iu2019ve searched some information about this message but everybody wrote that this problem is solved by installing Integration Kit for SAP.

I have downloaded Integration Kit for SAP from this https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/business-objects-for-sap?rid=/webcontent/uuid/806c9894-42a5-2b10-648... [original link is broken] . But when I installed it program create folder BusinessObjects XI 3.0, not 3.1. Is it possible to download Integration Kit for SAP for version 3.1?

How can I check that everything is installed correctly?

Thanks,

Veronica

You have to install the BOBJ int.Kit for SAP on both your BOBJ server and the BOBJ client(s) ie. the computers where the client tools run on.

You can download the int.Kit for SAP XI 3.1 here:

[http://service.sap.com/installations] (Navigate to Entry By Application Group->SAP BusinessObjects packages and products )

I have installation BO Enterprise XI 3.1. server on Unix, and I have Windows XP on local computer. What version do I have to download (AIX, HP-UX, LINUX, SOLARIS, Windows Server)?

Hi,

if you want to view your reports (based on SAP sources) over the InfoView you have to install the IK on your Unix Server also. For this you have to download the version for the O/S your server is running.

In order to build a universe based on an SAP BW query you have to download and install the Windows version of the int.Kit on the computer the universe designer runs on.

Hi,

there are some transports files included in the installation of the int.Kit for SAP. Did you import them in your SAP BW Server are described in the administration and configuration guide of the IK?

I think that problem is in local settings because installation on another computer works very good with the same servers.

If I choose desktop installation I have error message - "The installation is unable to proceed with a Desktop Installation because Crystal Reports 2008 was not detected. To perform Desktop Installation, it must be installed".

If I choose custom installation I have error message - "Error 1904. Module C:\Program files\BusinessObjects\ BusinessObjects 12.0\win32_86\CrystalExtension.dll failed to register. HRESULT - 2147024769. Contact your support personnel."

We don't use product Crystal Reports, what we have to do?
