Stop Purchase Requisition update from Work Order based on User Status

Hello All,

I am unable to get through to below requirement.

There a bunch of User Status on my Work Order, and if any of those are set I want to stop PR update from WO, even if at operation level it is set to Immediately.

Any Exit/Enhancement details would be helpful. I have tried a bunch of them and none of them are usefull till now.

Hi,

As you found there is nothing designed to do this.

It would not be good practice to do this. If something is change on the order that should be reflected in the PR. For example, If quantity required was 12 and PR is generated for 12 items. Order is then changed to 15 then why should PR not be updated. If not updated there is a inconsistency between order and PR.

Hello Paul,

I totally agree with you, however requirement is as below:

if a user status "REAV" in review is set then until that is removed, we should not update PR, this sounds a bit logical from business standpoint. Now I want to know if we have a config or the place(Include name) where this is converted(just want to save myself some debug time) I will implement implicit enhancement to restrict that update is user status is REAV.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Aditya,

Where does the status “reav” fit in the process? Before release of order or after release of order? If it’s the former, it would make sense to create the PR on release so that all planning/review activities are completed. If it’s the latter then it’s unclear why updates in the external operation shouldn’t update the PR...
