SAP on Oracle 18c

Hi everybody,

can anyone tell me when SAP will Support to use Oracle 18c as database for a SAP System (ABAP or JAVA)?

From SAP PAM I can only find that Netweaver 7.52 - Database Platforms only Supports Oracle 12.1 ans Oracle 12.2.0. 1

SAP Note 2606828 - "Oracle Database Roadmap for SAP NetWeaver" is the answer 🙂

Oracle 18c is certified for SAP as of 1st March 2019.

jim.kowalik. The release date of Oracle 18c is Q1 2019. The testings are not finished yet, but looks like we can keep the schedule for Q1.

But certainly we can not release this before end of March.

Exactly. We plan to support Oracle 18c as of Q4 2018. We can not tell you any exact release date yet as it depends on way too many factors.

The note gets updated as soon more exact date is known.

Is there any update to the certification of Oracle 18c. It was Q4/2018 now it is Q1/2019. Is there a chance it could be moved back again.
