to do the while integrating BI and Protal.

in step 3 , it asks to make BI generate SSO tickets , I searched in the forum , but don't quite understand how to generate SSO tickets? sometimes generate certificate from portal beckend , sometimes BI side ,

what does it mean by

Installing SAPSECULIB on each application server of the BW system to use Single Sign-On (SSO)?

confused now . I just want to export bw web report to portal . Could you please give me hint ?

Thank you very much!!!

Hi,

although above posts are correct, what they've not told is that for the sso in BI (or in fact for any backend system) to work you will need to install all the necessary libraries and configure parameters in rz10. This is what "Installing SAPSECULIB on each application server of the BW system to use Single Sign-On (SSO)" means.

This is normally a Basis task and I would suggest you have a word with your basis team to get it sorted (if not already in place). Normally, if the libraries do not exist you will get an error message when running transaction strustsso2. Also, if the libraries are present but the sso login parameters are missing from the profile (accessed via transaction rz10) your sso will fail and you will see an error message in the portal/j2ee logs with an RFC exception saying that the sso ticket could not be issued - or something to that effect.

Cheers,

Dion

Hi Sony,

Please check on SAP Notes: 917950 and 937697

For BI Integration.

And for SSO.

1. Export the portal certificate, go to System Administration - System Configuration - Keystore administration - download verify.der file.

2. extract the file,

3. logon to BW system go to transaction STRUSTSSO2, import the certificate, and then add to ACL as well to the other option.

4. when adding to acl give golden client that is 000 and instance.

5.

Export the BW certificate from the same t.code. and import on to portal.

6. follow the link to create a system.

Hope this helps.

Cheers-
