how many extracting method

Hi all:

As we know, LO cockpit and Lis is for MM funciton extraction , are there any ways for SD, FI , CO ,

HR and so on?

Hi,

Even for SD you have LO cockpit extractors eg. 2LIS_11_VAITM, VAHDR, VASCL etc...

For FI there are two methods

1) General Ledger

For this there are standard extractors available, which are business content extractors.

2) Special Ledger

For this you need to generate the extractors using the t-code

Even for HR you have standard extractors...

Hi Mansi,

actually iam trying to extract data to PA_PA cubes from r/3.i have fallowed the below steps:

1) activated datasource in R/3 side

2) replicated in BI

3) created tranfer rules,transformations,loaded data through info package for 0HR_PA_0 and 0HR_PA_1,DTP to head count/Personal actions cube,

4) activated transfer rules for all charactrestics and loaded data and DTP to head count/Personal actions cube.

still i cant able to view data in info cube where all DTP's where successful.i cant even see mapping for key figures,the key figures were all with 'X' mark.

am i doing the correct process.please guide me if iam wrong.

No...LO cockpit theres no only for MM .....here you can find extractors for SD, MM, QA, check the application area there are more that 15...

Hi,

Lo extraction method is used by all the logistics like MM, SD, PP (production planning),procurement (purchasing).

LIS is now absolute, it has been replaced by LO cockpit in BW 3.5/7.0.

For FI and CO ,it doesnt use LO extraction method, it is normal data pulling where delta queue is only filled when data is requested from the BW.

Hi,

At present most of the companies are following LO Extarct methods. because in LO's data is splitted into item level and header level where we can extract required data.
