Quality notification for test equipment

Dear expert,

In calibration plan if my result of calibration is rejected. then I want a notification to repair the same equipment.

But system do not allow me to assign maintenance notification to inspection type (14 ) in IMG. it has to be Q type notification .

Now my question is how we map maintenance activity in Q type notification. ?

What is standard procedure ??

1) Even if you dont get the option of putting 0100, i will request you to kindly put it and check it.

2) SAP recommends of creating a maintainence notification . Along with this you have to set the defect recording indicator in the control indicator of the inspection characteristic

iam not sure ,kindly record the defect for the reject and while recording you can create notification which you can use for maintenance of the same

Hi Thyagarajan,

U r correct. but in that we can create only quality notification (q type) and not maintenance notification .

And in Q notification we do not have option for equipment or FL as a reference object we can create only against material. and even if try to customize screen for q type we dont have that option ( 100 ) .

I want to Know what SAP suggest in such case ??
