Reset Whole Inventory : Initial Quantity and Item Cost (MAP)

Hi,

We are supporting a company with the following scenario.

The system has been working for more than 11 months now. Local people identified wrong initial quantity in stock + wrong initial item cost (Moving Average Price).

Therefore, when analyzing current stock value, the result is totally false.

What do you advise us, to do the following?

1. Reset Initial quantities from 01/01/2009

2. Reset Initial Item Cost from 01/01/2009

3. Ask SBO to recalculate all the movements in finance and logistics based on these two new data

I know, it sounds a bit complicated but thanks for helping

Regards

Stéphane

Hi Stéphane,

I am afraid it is a little bit too late to perform this correction. Your customer's request is just like to recreate all 11+ months transaction. It is not a simple job and it is error prone.

If I were you, I would tell this customer frankly that is almost mission impossible. If they insist, then do you best to export all transactions and make correct Initial Quantity and Item Cost in a New database. Then DTW back all transactions.

Thanks,

Gordon
