Versioning of documents in SOLAR01

Hi Experts,

I have some questions regarding the versioning of documents in the Business Blueprint Structure SOLAR01.

We are uploading documents into the 'Generell Documentation'. We change them directly in Solution Manager.

- Is it possible to retrieve the previous versions of the documents again?

- Can I do comparisons between the content of the current version and older versions?

- Is there the possibility to upload more than one document at the same time?

- In the document attributes you find a field named 'Technical Name'. What is this used for?

Hello Bianca,

- Is it possible to retrieve the previous versions of the documents again?

Yes it is possible to retrive the previuos versions of documents provided you use Check out and chek in option when you are uploading the new versions.

When you use Chek out and check in option and upload the latest file. you can see the previous version document in the attributes of history button. you can display the the previous version document by selecting the Document imported and click on display, then you can save the document from here.

Hi Experts,

I am facing problems in opening the documents uploaded through T code SOLAR01 in solution manager.It gives message with Message no. SOLAR_DOC021.

I can upload documents ,check out/in them but can't view them.

Yes ...goto attributes tab for the doc...click history tab....here look for "doc text change " in the change type

Now choose that old doc line click display icon.... u cn see older version of the doc.....

Is there the possibility to upload more than one document at the same time?

Not in standard but can build a pgm etc ...by development

Technical name of an information object

The technical name of an information object is a language-indepedent name for an information object or a folder.

Use

You can enter this technical name as search criteria when searching for an information object or a folder.
